Privacy Policy

Effective: July 2026

This policy explains what data JavaAgentic collects, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to https://javaagentic.com and all its subpages.

What we collect

Automatically

  • Analytics. If you accept cookies, Google Analytics records pages viewed, approximate location (country/city level), device type, browser and referrer. IP anonymisation is enabled.
  • Advertising. Google AdSense and its partners may set cookies to select and measure ads. See How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request logs (IP address, timestamp, path, user agent) for security and abuse prevention.

Stored in your browser, not sent to us

  • Your theme choice (light/dark).
  • Your cookie consent decision.
  • Your roadmap progress — which topics you have ticked off. This never leaves your device and is not tied to any account.

When you contact us

The contact form collects your name, email address, chosen topic and message. We use them only to reply and to fix what you reported. We do not add you to a mailing list.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or rent personal data.
  • We do not require an account to read anything on this site.
  • We do not run email tracking pixels.

Cookies and consent

No analytics or advertising script loads until you accept via the consent banner. If you reject, the site works exactly the same — you simply see no personalised ads and generate no analytics events. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings. Details are in the Cookie Policy.

Legal basis (GDPR)

  • Consent — analytics and advertising cookies.
  • Legitimate interest — server logs, for security and service integrity.
  • Consent / contract — messages you choose to send us.

Your rights

If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, and to object to processing. If you are in California, you have the right to know what is collected and to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information — we do not sell personal information. To exercise any of these, use the contact form.

Retention

Analytics data is retained according to the Google Analytics default retention period. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to resolve the matter.

Third parties

  • Google (AdSense, Analytics) — privacy policy
  • Our hosting provider, for delivery of this website

Children

This site is aimed at professional software developers and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the effective date above. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance.
